s/low is a small retreat in Oak Park, IL that is simple in form and deep in experience. Over the course of an afternoon you'll be led in yoga, guided reflection, and into deep rest. It’s a curated space to help you slow down and reset.
Karina will be leading an all-levels Vinyasa flow class that incorporates pranayama and mindful breathing. This practice will be done in a comfortable environment without heat or humidity, focusing on cultivating warmth through the connection of breath and movement.
2:00-2:10 — Reset (arrive and settle)
2:10-3:25 — Yoga
3:30-4:00 — Yoga Nidra
4:00-4:15 — Reflect (guided journaling)
4:15-4:30 — Release (closing/integration)
Facilitators
Karina Quintana - Karina teaches yoga and Pilates, with yoga as her first love. She has completed 1,300 hours of training across Vinyasa, Yin, and 26&2, and is an advocate and ally for the yoga BIPOC & LGBTQ+ community. She believes yoga isn’t about the poses; it’s about what you learn about yourself along the way. Her classes offer gentle, grounded guidance that makes space for your own authentic practice. Joshua Longbrake - Joshua Longbrake is an artist, writer, and contemplative practitioner with a Masters of Divinity. His work explores attention and lived spirituality. You can see his work at joshualongbrake.com and Instagram.
